The doctoral programme the school offers is discipline-oriented (corresponding to the disciplines of Economics, Linguistics, Philosophy, Literature etc.). Presently, SHSS offers doctoral programmes in Economics and English Language & Literature. The candidates selected under the doctoral programme will undertake relevant course work in each disciple followed by research work under the supervision of an advisor. The advisor is assigned to the candidate by the school, after taking into account the former’s aptitude, needs and preferences.
