In IIT Goa we follow the same principle. Our institute has a fantastic sport and fitness culture which is coordinated by the Sports Cell.
We participate in various tournaments throughout the year including Inter-IIT Sports Meet, Avahan (IIT Bombay), Spree (BITS Goa) and other local tournaments. Our athletes have shown great performance in all the events we have participated in.
We also have a fully functional Gym as well as an athletic track to keep our athletes on top of their game. Every sport has a club and anyone who wants to join will get training from coaches as well as access to equipment to improve their game and earn a spot in the institute’s team.
Each year we also organise an Intra-institute sports fest. It is a 4-day extravaganza with participation from UG, PG, Staff and Faculty. It provides a common platform for everyone to showcase their skills and talents.
