IIT Goa and SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Center (Chennai) signed an MoU to collaborate and strengthen medical technology research and development by combining engineering and clinical expertise respectively. The MoU was signed in an online ceremony by Prof. Dhirendra Katti, Director, IIT Goa and Prof. Nitin Nagarkar, Pro Vice Chancellor, SRM MCH&RC. It was attended by Deans and faculty members from both sides and Shri Sundeep Nayak, Prof. of Practice at IIT Goa and former Joint Secretary Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. With the vast experience of Prof. Katti in biomedical research in the US and India, and the experience of Prof. Nagarkar as founding Director AIIMS Raipur, we expect the collaboration to contribute to the essential medtech research for the nation and beyond.
