On July 26, 2025, IIT Goa and BITS Pilani entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti, Director, IIT Goa, and Prof. Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, at the KK Birla Campus in Goa. This partnership aims to advance education, joint research, and innovation in engineering and the sciences. Key areas of collaboration include joint Ph.D. supervision and research, sharing of resources, and the organization of collaborative workshops and seminars. The institutes will focus on high-impact domains such as Energy and Sustainability, AI-driven Smart Cities, and Quantum Technology.
