On 19th July 2025, Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti, Director, IIT Goa, graced the 6th Convocation ceremony of IIT Dharwad as the Guest of Honour. Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. As part of the celebrations and the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti planted a sapling in the presence of Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Prof. Venkappayya R. Desai, Director, IIT Dharwad, and Members of the Board of Governors of IIT Dharwad—marking a symbolic gesture towards a greener and more sustainable future.
