Today, IIT Goa celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2024, marking the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the tribal leader and freedom fighter from Jharkhand. We were honored to have Dr. Uday Chepo Gaonkar, Deputy Director of Education, Panaji & Principal D.Ed. College, Porvorim, as our esteemed guest today. This year also begins the 150th birth anniversary commemorations of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, highlighting the invaluable contributions of India's tribal communities and promoting their rich cultural heritage.
