Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary Department of Science and Technology (DST) & CEO, Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) interacted with all faculty members of IIT Goa. Prof. Karandikar shared his experience as a faculty member, as a Director & as the Secretary of DST.
Prof. Karandikar highlighted various initiatives under ANRF aimed at addressing the difficulties faced by researchers in our country. He emphasized on the need to align individual research with the needs of the nation & national missions.
Drawing from his experience as a researcher, Prof. Karandikar underlined the importance of research proposals and grants. He highlighted that the faculty members of IIT Goa have a unique opportunity to shape the culture & research landscape of an Institute of national importance.
Prof. Karandikar addressed several comments and suggestions from the faculty members of the institute.
