Prof. Shashank Priya, Vice President for Research at UMN, visited IIT Goa and presented on UMN and the Geocommunities Program. IIT Goa faculty showcased student activities aligning with the Geocommunities Program, TASLe and Siemens Program, and discussed the initiatives of the CoE Sustainable Energy, CCuS CO2 Mitigation, air quality and pollution research, plastic and e-waste sorting using electrostatic processes, the Drone Center, and the Blue Eco AI System. Dr. Rishikesh Narayan, School of Chemical and Materials Science, IIT Goa in collaboration with Prof. Nida Sajid, Dept. of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies, University of Minnesota, completed a two-year interdisciplinary project (2022-24) on the impact of waste management practices on community health and biodiversity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
