National Unity Day

"National Unity Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students and faculties of IIT Goa on 31 st Oct 2017 on the momentous occasion of 141 st birth anniversary celebration of 'Iron Man of India', Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event started with recital of our Prof. Arora addressing the audience national anthem followed by the screening of a documentary about the extraordinary life of Shri Sardar Patel to acquaint everyone with his gigantic contribution in shaping up the modern India republic. An elocution contest was also organized wherein students and faculties discussed the relevance and importance of Sardar Patel and his ideals in present day India. The event concluded with everyone appreciating the importance of unity in diversity and need to strive towards upholding it in the face of constant challenges."
