Mr. Dhanraj Pillay, Former Indian Captain (Hockey Team), Padmshree Awardee and currently working as DGM in Air India had successfully delivered an Institute Lecture on "Importance of Sports in Education Institution" at IIT Goa on 12th Feb 2021 at 4.30 PM through Online Zoom Video Conference. Around 200 participants including students, faculty, and staff members joined this lecture virtually. Mr. Pillay highlighted the importance of Sports in day to day life of a student. His talk was very inspiring and motivating, especially to sports aspirants. Prof. B.K. Mishra, Director appreciated and thanked him for sparing his valuable time from his busy schedule and agreed to deliver this lecture. Our students, faculty, and staff members interacted with the speaker directly and asked various questions related to his successful journey till becoming the captain of the Indian Hockey Team. We look forward to having a similar kind of Institute lecture in the field of Sports Education in future also.
