National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research

On 4th December 2024, a five member delegation from IIT Goa headed by Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti, Director, IIT Goa visited the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Goa for a research collaborative meeting. Scientists from NCPOR headed by Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director, NCPOR presented on “Polar Science Initiatives” and “Deep Sea Exploration Initiative”. The delegates discussed potential collaborative opportunities between NCPOR and IIT Goa in areas such as Polar Sciences, Deep Ocean and Himalayan Glaciers. The meeting concluded with the visit to Central labs of NCPOR.
