Latest SPIC MACAY event of the Farmagudi Chapter was organized on 1st September 2018 in the IIT Goa campus. The team of Hindustani classical music led by Padma Shri Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, a renowned proponent of Hindustani classical music enthralled the audience with beautiful rendition of classical music. He was ably supported by five excellent accompanying musicians namely Shri Amar Mopkar (Tabla), Shri Raya Vorgaonkar (Harmonium), Shri Nitesh Sawant and Manu Hegde (Tanpura). The evening began with flawless rendition of the raga Multani. Then, Pt. Ulhas moved the audience with his variations in Sakhiya Banbasiya based on raga Khamaj. The performance ended befittingly with the bhajan Tum bin mori kaun khabar le. Audience seemed to visibly impressed with the performance and gave standing ovation to the artists for their amazing performance.
