One Day Workshop on "Sensors: Development and Packaging Challenges"

School of Electrical Sciences, IIT Goa has conducted One Day Workshop on Sensors: Development and Packaging Challenges on 23rd December 2022 in offline as well as in online mode. There were more than 215 registrations including 55 offline participations from IIT Goa, BITs Goa, and GEC. The event started at 9.30am with the inaugural speech by The Director, IIT Goa, Prof. B.K. Mishra. Dr. Bidhan Pramanick, Convener of the event, talked about the workshop followed by the speech by Prof. Sachin Kore, Dean (AP). Dr. Neelakandan Rajamohan welcomed the participants in the event.

Technical session started at 10am with the Institute Lecture by Prof. Sam Kassegne, San Diego State University, USA followed by an online talk on "Impedance Based Sensors for the Agriculture Applications - Example and Analysis" by Prof. Maryam Shojaei Baghini, IIT Bombay. Prof. M.M. Nayak, IISc Bangalore presented the importance and challenges of Packaging devices through his talk on "MEMS Sensors - Integration, Testing and Packaging for Aerospace applications". Prof. Goutam Thakur, MAHE talked on "Bio-polymer based hydrogels as carrier matrices for biomedical applications". In the last talk of the event, Prof. Chandra Shekhar Sharma, IIT Hyderabad talked on "Ultrasensitive Sensors based on Polymer Thin Films and Electrospun Nanofibers".
The convener concluded the event by vote of thanks.
