M.Tech in MST has two unique aspects
- Strong international component: opportunity for a dual-degree program with Brest National School of Engineering (ENIB), France.
- Truly multidisciplinary program: hosted by the School of Mechanical Sciences and executed by five other schools at IIT Goa.
The top student enrolled in this program has an opportunity to earn dual degree (M.Tech. from IIT Goa and MEng from ENIB France). While the student will travel to France as a part of the dual degree requirements, IIT Goa will host international students from ENIB.
The curriculum of the M.Tech. MST contains core courses with in-built hands-on laboratory sessions, and specialized electives covering advanced topics. Students carry out independent cutting edge research under the guidance of faculty members of the institute in topics like robotics, sensors, computational & experimental fluid dynamics, imaging and communication etc. with a focus on marine science and technology domain.
