The research in the school of interdisciplinary life sciences spans two broad areas of biology: Diagnostics and Therapeutics. In diagnostics, the focus is on developing cutting edge, mechanics-based diagnostic techniques as well as point-of-care diagnostics technologies. On the other hand, in the realm of therapeutics, the research is underway in the area of vaccine development against diseases like Dengue etc. as well as small-molecule based drug discovery. In addition to these other research projects lie in the area of cancer genomics, epidemic modelling, protein-3D structure prediction etc.
