The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program is a part of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science (SMCS) at IIT Goa. The CSE program began functioning in 2016 after the establishment of the institute.
The driving focus of the CSE program is on transformative education that empowers our students to be agents of change. The program prepares our students with a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and modern engineering skills to enable them to understand, design, engineer, and effectively utilize computing systems as a tool for positive impact.
The faculty and staff in CSE are a welcoming community that strives to foster research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and excellence in teaching towards creating future leaders, researchers, and visionary engineering professionals. We actively engage with the industry, alumni, and society at large to work towards synergistic solutions. We have several ongoing engagements with the industry and research labs in India and worldwide.
