ElectroChemical Energy Laboratory

Indian Institute of Technology Goa

ElectroChemical Energy Laboratory (Ecel) @ IIT Goa aims to tackle energy and environmental issues by effectively utilizing Electrochemical Engineering and Materials Science

The ElectroChemical Energy Laboratory (Ecel) is dedicated to designing and developing high-performance materials for sustainable energy applications, with a focus on electrochemical energy conversion and storage processes. Key research areas include the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction (eNRR), and Redox Flow Batteries (RFB).

Our research spans a wide array of activities, including the design and development of new materials, chemical synthesis, materials characterization, property measurement, prototype device fabrication, and evaluation, as well as in-depth studies into the structure-property-performance relationships of materials.
