Course Description

This course is intended to provide “beginner level” training in domain specific HPC software packages. These software packages are used in various domains for conducting HPC simulation.
This course is intended to provide “beginner-level” training on domain-specific HPC software packages that are essential for conducting scientific and engineering simulations aimed at solving real-world problems within specific application domains..

Course Objectives

1. To familiarize participants with the key features of the selected domain-specific HPC software package.
2. To enable participants to set up and configure the simulation environment within the software package.
3. To train participants in conducting domain-specific simulations effectively using HPC resources.
4. To develop participants’ skills in analysing and interpreting simulation results.
5. To teach methods for scaling simulation problems to utilize large HPC resources efficiently.
6. To instill best practices for managing HPC jobs and optimizing resource usage during simulations.
7. To prepare participants for advancing toward more complex and large-scale HPC simulation workflows.

Program

The course will be conducted online as per the given schedule. Limited time access (16 hrs) to a HPC Cluster for a simple simulation, as part of each software package, will be provided.

Participation Certificate will be given for each software package that a participant gets trained on provided the participant attends at least one of the two scheduled sessions for each software package.
