Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa is organizing a Bootcamp Training Program for the capacity building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drone and related Technology) in India under a project funded by MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology).

Course Description

The course is named “Fundamentals of Drone Systems and AI/ML for Drone Vision.” - This comprehensive course delves deep into the integration of AI and Computer Vision Algorithms. From the essentials of flight to the intricacies of artificial intelligence, and computer vision, participants will be equipped to unlock the full potential of AI in the world of drone technology.

Course Objectives

In this comprehensive course, our objective is to ignite interest in learning about drones and their applications, and empower participants with essential knowledge of AI and Computer Vision Algorithms for drones. By the course's end, you'll have the proficiency to navigate the drone landscape, employing industry-standard tools and techniques to unlock the full potential of AI in drone technology.

Program

The event is scheduled offline and requires the candidates to spend 5 days to cover the 40 hours in physical classroom and lab sessions.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Basics of Quadcopters and their assembly.
  2. Identify and address on-board computing challenges.
  3. Understand the basic concepts of drone simulations
  4. Hands on proficiency in MATLAB UAV Toolbox
  5. Understand image recognition applications in drone technology.
  6. Fundamentals of drone communications.

Accommodation

A limited number of paid accommodation will be arranged for the candidates on a first come first served basis. Candidates requiring accommodation should fill up the separate Registration Form, and await reply from CDA, IIT Goa, before processing payment.
